I think it is fantastic! I can't wait for the 2010 conference and it is only January. I believe God will continue to do amazing things if we would just obey HIM when calls us to do something.

Very Awesome, Debbie. One cool thing is that you submitted to God's call into the desert even though it was a scary place to be led. How awesome is it that God has truly revealed HIS heart for you. Can't wait to see how it continues to unfold!

I had a great time at the conference as well! God gave me freedom in some more areas of my life and I praise God for it. He really touched me in a very personal way.

^_^ I absolutely loved hanging out in The Nest. Next year's conference is going to be amazing as well. I miss the experience after watching that video, but it brought back good memories...yummy cookies and hot chocolate. Of course, food wasn't the only thing great about this conference, but definitely a plus.

LOL..Omigosh I LOVE the orbs of joy guess with video and hope I do better on the ones at the conference because I would always fall off those things when a child...it wasn't a pretty site :)

Saw the sneek peek video and so glad Joseph put down that box opener without hurting himself (smile)..Loved Jessica's cute laughter in the background when the box was being opened. So love those mystery orbs because they are something fun to have hanging on the back patio when friends & family gathering together on summer's night..my guess would be that it has something to do with us as 'sojourners'

Looks like the Cotten men are hijacking this thread. So be it.

I happen to know what the Objects In Question (OIQ) are, but I can wish that they were heavenly orbs of squishy goodness, sent from a Revival Angel to smear ooey gooey anointment on all the conference attendees, taking the worship experience to new heights of fuzzy warmth and bringing about spontaneous sanctification! Yeah!

Unfortunately, the OIQs have an entirely different purpose.

When I look at those discs I imagine a floating orb of light. The orb appears as though it is a solitary, disconnected light source. However, on closer inspection you see that it is intricately connected to other similar orbs of light. These interconnected lights would then represent how we are individuals who are interconnected by the light of His love.

Throughout the conference the ladies will each be able to write their name on one of the orbs as a demonstration of how they are like these floating receptacles of joy. Both unique and also a connected part of this sisterhood of dancers of light and love.

I wish I could be there to see it, though that would require some radical changes to my person.

I'll take a wild guess, although I am not a design girl, I am an object lesson girl. Is it a heart, with many radiant colors flowing out of it...lots of golden shine? Possibly including many names of Christ interwoven....

I love this! I grew up in VA, so I love hearing of God's church rising up in that place. The Lord has been speaking the same verse about unity to me. It is His desire to command the blessing at all times. Will we open up the opportunity and choose to dwell in unity? We are crazy if we choose isolation, haughtiness, self-pity, judgment, competition, comparison, jealousy instead of the unity of the spirit and the bond of peace. Let us keenly discern the enemies deception and temptation and leave behind those things that hinder our unity. Lord, with open arms and open hearts we embrace our brothers and sisters. We will seek out the lost with a heart to pour out your grace and life!

I think that the husbands having the information is great way for them to be involoved in praying for them while their wives are at the conference. I plan on discussing the workshops with my hubby to help me decide which ones I want to attend. I jumping inside myself at the chance of being able to go to the conference this year. I hope that in sharing with my husband and through prayer to decide which workshops to go that God will move in a mighty way in my life. I pray that what happens to the conference with the women at the conference will not only change their lives but also the lives of their husbands and children when they see the change in the women.

I think we all really desire to walk in unity with brothers and sisters in Christ. We'd like to see all the dividing walls broken down. I think we have that desire because that's what God desires for His people. So often though, we let personal distinctions of age, race, gender, and even fashion differences intimidate us and separate us from one another. All it usually takes in any group is for one person to "cross the line" and others will do it too, because we all want the dividing walls to be gone.

At Church on the Rise last Sunday, when we first got to the building about 30 minutes before the meeting was to start, all the young people were gathered in a clutch at the front of the sanctuary and a handful of older people was sitting in the back. Another old gentleman came in and, instead of sitting down beside his age peers who greeted him first, he walked up to the group of teens and "butted in" on their conversation. The next thing you knew everyone was mixing it up and having fun together.

It was obvious that a lot of those kids needed some healthy parenting and the older folks can provide that in abundance. A lot of the older folks really need to know that they are still valued and needed, and they are finding that affirmation though the younger crowd. What a blessing for everyone!
